1. Who we are

A Design Link is a solo design and development practice operated by Chad Pierce, based in New Port Richey, Florida, USA, serving clients worldwide.

We collect only the information needed to operate the site, deliver our services, and communicate with you.

2.1 Information you give us directly

• Contact and inquiry information — your name, email address, company name, and the contents of any message you send through our contact form, email, or booking link.
• Account and billing information — when you subscribe to a plan or purchase an hour pack, we collect the name, email, and billing details required to process payment. Card numbers are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout and are never stored on our servers.
• Project information — anything you provide as part of a request: copy, brand assets, credentials shared at your direction, file uploads, and similar materials.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit our site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

• IP address, approximate location (city/region), and ISP
• Browser type, device type, operating system, and screen size
• Pages viewed, referring URLs, time on page, and click events
• Server logs, error logs, and performance telemetry

2.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; turning them off may affect site functionality. See Section 8 for details.

A Design Link is based in the United States. If you access the site or engage our services from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and by service providers in other jurisdictions. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of personal data from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland.

• Active client records — for the duration of the engagement and for up to 7 years afterward for tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information — including TLS encryption in transit, restricted access to client data, and reputable hosting and infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

11. Children’s privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites (for example, our blog may link to GitHub repositories, vendor documentation, or partner sites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

13. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no industry standard for how to respond to it, so our site does not currently respond to DNT signals. You can still control tracking through cookie settings and the rights described above.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email (for current clients) or by a prominent notice on the site before the changes take effect.
